How to Beat Cancer

Everyone has cancer cells in their bodies but these cells do not show up in the normal tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors inform cancer patients that there are no more cancerous cells in their bodies after treatment, it merely means that the tests are unable to detect these cells because they have not reached the detectable size. How to beat cancer is not an impossible task as long as you know the positives and negatives of food and other factors.

Foods to avoid

When a person has cancer, it is a sign that the person has some nutritional deficiencies. It is necessary to change the diet to strengthen the immune system in order to overcome these nutritional deficiencies. Besides increasing health supplements to strengthen the immune system, it is important to starve cancer cells by not feeding them with the following foods.

  • Dairy products such as milk, cheese and eggs as these cause the body to produce mucus which cancer cells feed on.
  • Coffee, tea and chocolate should be avoided as these have high a content of caffeine.
  • Sugar is a cancer-feeder. Sugar substitutes should also be avoided as these contain aspartame which could be just as harmful.
  • Meat (except fish) causes an acidic environment
  • Fried foods should be avoided at all costs
  • Processed foods such as can foods

Diet

As cancer cells thrive in an acidic environment, it is important to have foods that help to put the body into an alkaline state. Such foods include the following.

  • Fresh vegetables and fruits
  • Seeds, nuts and whole grains
  • Chlorella and spirulina are great health foods as they contain abundant phytonutrients
  • Green tea has cancer fighting properties

Lifestyle

In addition to a strict diet, a change in lifestyle is necessary to beat cancer.

  • Exercise daily. Aerobics, walking, swimming and gym workouts help to oxygenate the body
  • Avoid smoking. This will include avoiding places with cigarette smoke
  • Have enough sleep, and sleep by 11pm the latest
  • Drink filtered water to avoid toxins and heavy metals in tap water
  • Avoid using the microwave oven to heat your food in plastic containers as this releases dioxin from the plastic into your food
  • Avoid stress, anger and anxiety as these put the body into an acidic environment. In short, be relaxed and happy

You can beat cancer

Cancer is a disease of the mind and spirit. A positive and proactive spirit will help the cancer person to be a survivor. Deep breathing and daily exercises help to get more oxygen into the cells. Remember, cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment.
